We ordinarily cannot see these realities because we live our lives inside them. We are immersed in our own lives, attending to what is immediately before us — our work, relationships, events, desires, decisions and circumstances.
Yet beneath all of this are realities that shape the directions we take, what we conceive as possible, what we choose, and ultimately, how our lives unfold.
These realities can become organized in ways that work against the life itself.
They can also become organized in ways that serve the life.
Ordinarily, these realities remain invisible. But when they become visible, they can be encountered, reorganized, and reclaimed.
This is what the House of Nomena is dedicated to.
The House of Nomena is an institution dedicated to the human life itself.
We ordinarily encounter institutions devoted to particular aspects of human existence — universities devoted to learning, hospitals devoted to the body, and institutions devoted to particular forms of human activity.
The House is devoted to the life itself.
Through the reclamation of the deeper realities shaping a life, the House serves the return of that life to the person.
Within the House, this takes place through a movement.
Revelations
Where the deeper realities shaping a life are made visible and encounterable.
What has been shaping the life can begin to be seen, and the life itself can begin to look different in its light.
Reclamation
Where what has become visible can be reorganized and reclaimed.
What has been seen can begin to change the way a person meets their own life, and what becomes possible within it.
As these realities are reclaimed, a life can begin to unfold from a ground that serves the life itself.
There is something strange about being alive.
Life is constantly happening, changing, and becoming something else.
Things emerge that were not anticipated. We are always living into what has not yet become clear.
We live within all of this without fully knowing what is happening to our lives, what is shaping them, or where they are taking us.
The House is where you no longer stand alone before your life.
Your life is attended to — not merely for what it is, but in relation to what it is becoming.
This is somewhere to be with your life.
You remain the one who lives your life.
But the question of what your life is, and what it is becoming, is no longer left to you alone.
It has a place to be attended to.
